Definition :

Definition :
A figure of speech consisting of a comparison using LIKE or AS.

EXAMPLES:

》He swam like a fish through rough waters.

SYMBOL
Definition :
Something that represents something else by association, resemblance, or convention, especially a material object used to represent something invisible.

EXAMPLES:

*a golden ring symbolized marriage
*love, fidelity, commitment, trust, family and the other characteristics of connubiality.
